Even though, a winter morning, the Sunday Sun seemed not so friendly. I have planned to walk deep into sand dunes of River Krishna. Though I started my trek wading through soft sands, I found no way of escaping the open heat. But the grand scenic rewards were ready in full richness. I’m circled by deep yellow sands carpeted before me in engaging spectacles. The huge bridges as if bolting out from earth below on one side and on the other side a cluster of pools: a regular habitat for exotic birds, wild grass and a cool luxury for urchins to dip and dive.
This week I’ll present the sand dunes and the coming week I’ll introduce the pools.
Vijayawada is the largest city on River Krishna, in Andhra Pradesh, India.
