Helen Keller said once about the worst trait of any human being could be “To have eyes and fail to see.” Vijayawada city is one of that wondrous one that is alive, breathing and kicking. And many fail to see its comforting visual attractiveness. Go to any far corner of the city near to the hills or the banks of river Krishna. The refreshment we receive is good for our moods and souls.
As a photographer, my idea is to make the city more visible. Most of the times I wish to highlight a few parts of the city selectively. I frame the most commonplace subjects, patterns, compositions. That I randomly visit on Sundays. Sit there for a while and allow the spectacle to influence you. I promise that you would come out with an invigorated personality. I post every week the photographs on Instagram with the title – VIJAYAWADA_ IN_ VISUALS (LINK – https://www.instagram.com/vijayawada_in_visuals/).
I see what many others fail to see and get delighted?
Bridges are fascinating marvels of engineering. They have managed to infuse themselves in our history like no other architectural objects. This week I present the various colors and moods of Vijayawada bridges.
Here are the three main bridges of Vijayawada. They are the Prakasam Barrage, the two railway bridges, and the Kanakadurgamma Varadhi – connecting the highway between Kolkata and Chennai.
