WATERS OF RIVER KRISHNA

Something I discovered when I sat on one of the picturesque banks of River Krishna. People are happier, more active, more sizzling where they are in the waters than on the bank of it.

I noticed different shades of characters. Adults or children, male or female, young or old once there into opaque blue waters of the river.  They are thrilled as if a huge wave of delight hit them. That is why water is called, ‘the hub of life.’ Once they get into swimming and toss themselves in the shallow waters, I could notice pure cheerfulness on their faces.

They play, they pray, they become serene, they become romantic, they rest, they reminisce,  and people like me adore and appreciate the gushing vibrancy before me in  ‘shutter’ language.

I’m among the few lucky ones who stay in Vijayawada: one of largest cities on River Krishna. It is one of the fourth-biggest rivers regarding water inflows in India. We lovingly call it ‘Krishanveni.’

I relax and listen to the constant hum of waters hitting the bank. I hang on to the fused jingles of laughs and giggles: of young ones frolicking in the river. Then there is the magic of the bright clouds floating above and below a golden paint sprinkled by the departing Sun. It’s about time the gentle breeze gently wiping out all our days’ gloominess.

Time loses its boundaries and peace becomes ours. It’s also when the soft showers speak to you once in a while!

When you are in Vijayawada, you try a visit.  You would gladly enjoy the deep orange waters carrying the floating golden stunning sunset. My pictures tell you all!
